- Educational or research institutions with tax-exempt status
Additional requirements:
- Applicants may submit one Letter of Intent per cycle
- Organizations may not submit an LOI if they have an active, open grant
- Projects must directly benefit South Carolina residents
Funding Restrictions
Funding is not available for:
- Capital construction or building projects
- Salaries for individual health professionals
- One-time events (e.g., camps, tournaments, conferences)
- Fundraising events or ticket purchases
- Individuals or for-profit entities
- Political or religious activities
- Indirect costs or general operating support
- Grantmaking foundations
Application Process – Fall Cycle
- Submit a Letter of Intent by August 7, 2026
- Selected applicants are invited to submit a full application
- Full applications due September 18, 2026
- Applications undergo staff and board review
- Final funding decisions are communicated following board approval
Uninvited organizations may not submit full applications.
