Grants are awarded on a competitive, invitation-onlybasis and are focused on communities where Boston Scientific employees live and work.

What This Program Supports (STEM Education)
The STEM Education grant cycle supports programs that:
• Deliver science, technology, engineering, and/or math education to K–12 students
• Primarily serve economically disadvantaged populations
• Demonstrate strong outcomes and measurable impact
Programs should begin after the award date and conclude within one year of the grant award.
Eligible Geographic Areas
Invited organizations must serve economically disadvantaged populations located within 60 miles of the following areas:
• California (Valencia)
• Georgia (Johns Creek)
• Indiana (Spencer)
• Massachusetts (Cambridge, Marlborough, or Quincy)
• Minnesota (Arden Hills, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, or Rochester)
• Puerto Rico (Dorado or San Juan)
• Texas (Houston)
Funding Amounts
Grant amounts vary based on scale, participants served, and expected outcomes.
Typical awards range from $20,000–$30,000, with a limited number of larger or smaller grants awarded.
Eligibility & Key Notes
• Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
• Grants must primarily serve economically disadvantaged participants
• Applications are invitation only
• An invitation to apply does not guarantee funding
Organizations not previously invited may submit a Grant Interest Form to introduce their work for future consideration.
Ineligible Requests
The Foundation does not fund:
• Grants to individual public, private, or charter schools
• Event or team sponsorships (including robotics teams)
• Capital campaigns or general fundraising
• Medical research or continuing medical education
• Programs outside of STEM education focus areas
• Organizations with discriminatory hiring practices
