About the Funder
CN is committed to delivering responsibly and investing in the safety, well-being, and sustainability of the communities it serves. Through its Community Investments program, CN supports organizations advancing public safety, social well-being, and environmental stewardship.
Donations vs. Sponsorships (Important Distinction)
- Donations
A donation is a charitable gift (cash, goods, or services) intended to directly support an organization’s mission. Donations may be program-specific or for general needs and are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
Note: CN only accepts online applications for cash donations. Requests for in-kind donations must be submitted directly to CN’s partnership team. - Sponsorships
Sponsorships provide financial support for a specific event or initiative and are transactional in nature (e.g., brand visibility, advertising, tickets). Sponsorship fees are not eligible for charitable tax receipts and require invoicing by the organization.
This posting applies to donation requests only.
