Areas of Impact
Grant requests must align with one of the Foundation’s five Areas of Impact as outlined in its giving guidelines. Applicants should clearly demonstrate how the proposed program, project, or campaign addresses a documented community need that is not otherwise adequately supported.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a minimum of three years of operating history
- Be located on Cape Cod or directly benefit Cape Cod residents
- Ensure 100% of funds remain in Barnstable County
- Request a minimum of $2,500
- Align with the Foundation’s mission, Areas of Impact, and Types of Giving
- Address a clearly defined unmet or underfunded community need
Organizations may receive one grant per 12-month period.
Required Application Materials
Applicants must submit a complete application with supporting documentation, including:
- IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter
- List of Board of Directors and affiliations
- Program/project/campaign budget (including funds raised to date)
- List of other funders and funding amounts
- Narrative/case for support, including community need, data points, and implementation plan
- Any additional materials supporting the request
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
