The Cavaliers Community Foundation (CCF) invests in nonprofit organizations that directly support the development and well-being of youth in Northeast Ohio. Since its founding in 1993, the Foundation has awarded more than $27 million to local nonprofit partners.

About the Foundation
The Cavaliers Community Foundation supports youth-enriching programs throughout Northeast Ohio, with priority given to organizations serving at-risk youth. All applications are reviewed by the CCF Board for consideration.
Although inquiries are accepted on an ongoing basis, eligible organizations may apply biennially (once every other year) to ensure broad community access to funding opportunities.

CCF prioritizes nonprofit programs that:
- Directly benefit youth in Northeast Ohio
- Focus on youth development and well-being
- Provide services to at-risk youth populations
- Demonstrate meaningful community impact
The majority of grants awarded are around $10,000.
Ineligible Requests
Grants are not available for:
- Organizations with fewer than three (3) active years as a 501(c)(3) public charity
- Individuals
- Private foundations
- Public, private, or charter schools
- Religious institutions
- Government institutions
- Staff salaries
- Capital projects
Application Process
The Foundation operates two funding cycles annually:
- Spring Cycle: LOI due February 1
- Fall Cycle: LOI due September 1
To be considered for the Fall funding cycle, organizations must submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) by September 1, 2026.
If awarded, grant payments are issued directly to the nonprofit organization.
