In-Kind Donations & Sponsorships Across the Carolinas

The Swarm to Serve initiative, led by the Charlotte Hornets Foundation and the Hornets’ Community Impact Department, is dedicated to creating meaningful, lasting impact throughout North and South Carolina.

Grounded in four core pillars, Swarm to Serve supports organizations and events that uplift communities and expand opportunity across the Carolinas.

About the Program

Swarm to Serve reflects the charitable mission of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets. Through strategic partnerships, donations, and sponsorships, the Foundation invests in initiatives that align with its four guiding pillars:

🏀 Championing the Next Generation

Supporting youth development, education, and mentorship programs.

🌍 Empowering Communities

Strengthening neighborhoods and enhancing community spaces.

❤️ Leading with Care

Promoting health, wellness, and overall well-being.

🌟 Creating Opportunities for All

Expanding access and equity across diverse communities.


Types of Support

Eligible organizations may request:

  • In-kind donations
  • Event sponsorship support
  • Community engagement collaboration

All requests must clearly align with at least one of the Foundation’s four pillars.


Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be able to provide a valid EIN number
  • Support at least one of the Foundation’s four pillars
  • Submit the request at least six (6) weeks prior to the event date

Requests that do not meet these criteria may not be considered.


Application Process

Organizations interested in applying for in-kind support or sponsorship should review the Foundation’s focus pillars and impact areas before submitting a request.
