What This Program Supports: Maternal/Infant Health
For 2026, the Foundation is accepting proposals under its Maternal/Infant Health focus area.
The Foundation prioritizes programs that:
- Improve maternal and infant health outcomes
- Reduce health disparities
- Address health-related social needs
- Remove barriers to care across the full pregnancy journey
This includes interventions spanning:
- Pre-conception support
- Prenatal care and delivery
- Postnatal care (up to 12 months after birth)
Programs must drive clear, measurable improvements in maternal and infant health outcomes.
Grant Program Goals
Proposals should support one or more of the following goals:
- Reducing disparities in pre-term birth rates
- Reducing disparities in severe maternal morbidity (SMM)
- Improving overall maternal and infant health outcomes
Examples of measurable outcomes may include:
- Increased access to preconception, prenatal, and postnatal care
- Expansion of the maternal health workforce
- Increased care delivered through non-traditional settings (e.g., mobile clinics)
- Increased access to telehealth or digital health tools
- Increased prenatal and postnatal visits
- Improved breastfeeding rates
- Increased well-child visits and infant immunizations
- Expanded access to family planning services
Successful applicants will be required to submit semi-annual reports demonstrating progress toward defined metrics.

The Foundation will consider proposals from qualified nonprofit organizations across the U.S., with emphasis on:

- Funding should primarily support implementation costs, including measurement and evaluation.
The grant review period typically takes 4–6 months.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a registered 501(c)(3) public charity under one of the following IRS classifications:
- 170(b)(1)(A)(vi)
- 509(a)(2)
- 509(a)(3) (Type I, II, or III functionally integrated)
- Clearly define measurable goals, milestones, and accountability standards
- Demonstrate the ability to track long-term program effectiveness and sustainable change
