Prevention or control of rehabilitation-related conditions
Patient and caregiver education programming outcomes
Performance improvement projects that affect outcome data
Case studies or case series reflecting impact on patient outcomes
Implementation science and knowledge translation research related to rehabilitation methods for neurological impairments
Eligible Support Types
The program provides research grant funding. Encompass Health expects funded research to be completed within no more than 12 months after the grant is awarded.
Eligibility & Requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Grant applications and supporting documentation must be submitted by October 31, 2026
Applications must be emailed by 5 p.m. EST on the deadline date
Research must be conducted in the United States or Puerto Rico
Principal investigators must be based in the United States or Puerto Rico
A well-defined research protocol is required
IRB approval is required through entities defined by the research protocol
Human subject policies and informed consent must be developed in accordance with CITI requirements
Organizations must not discriminate by race, color, creed, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin

Encompass Health is offering research funding grant support totaling up to $75,000.

Selection Process
Applications will be evaluated by the Encompass Health Grant Selection Committee using established scoring criteria and a rubric. Selection factors include:

Final project selection will be conducted by the Encompass Health Grant Selection Committee and Corporate Clinical Research Committee.
