Cycle 1 focuses on Health & Wellness initiatives that improve quality of life for residents living in the Far East Side of Indianapolis, where JD FINL’s corporate community is located. Grants support programs that emphasize personal development, active and healthy lifestyles, and mental health.
What This Cycle Supports (Health & Wellness)
Eligible projects may include:
- Programs promoting physical activity, healthy living, and mental health
- Scholarships (full or partial) enabling participation in organizational programs
- Activities that support personal development and overall well-being
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant organizations must:
- Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
- Create positive impact for diverse communities
- Serve populations where 51% or more participants are people of color
- Demonstrate capacity to deliver culturally competent services
- Support efforts to alleviate discrimination and disparities affecting historically marginalized groups
- Ensure programming directly impacts residents of the Far East Side of Indianapolis
Ineligible Requests
The Foundation will not fund:
- Political campaigns or lobbying
- Organizations that unlawfully discriminate
- Religious promotion or construction of religious facilities
- Fraternal, veterans, or labor organizations
- Foundations affiliated with for-profit entities
- Endowments
- Beauty or talent contests
- Grants to individuals
- Medical, scientific, or academic research
- Travel or trips
- Schools or academic institutions
