Smaller requests for a gift card or product donation should be brought directly to a local Giant manager with a request letter on the nonprofit organization’s letterhead.
Eligibility & Requirements
To apply for a donation, organizations must:
Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
Provide a federal EIN number
Submit organizational information and supporting documents
Apply through Giant’s online donation application process
Allow 4–6 weeks for review
Organizations new to Giant’s online application process should create an account. Returning organizations can log in using their existing username and password.
Requests for events three months or more in advance may not be processed until closer to the event date.
Ineligible Requests
Giant Food does not accept requests for:
Personal assistance for individuals or families, including pageants, trips, or financial distress needs
Third-party donation requests
Political or election-related requests
Business fundraising or associate recognition
Building or capital campaigns
Requests for support outside Giant’s service area
Organizations that discriminate based on legally protected characteristics are not eligible for consideration.
Funding Amounts
Giant Food does not publish standard donation amounts. Support may vary depending on the request type, organization, event, alignment with giving priorities, and available resources.
