The following corporate funding opportunities have deadlines in January 2021.

Microsoft Azure compute grants – Deadline: 1/4/21

  • Applicants can be affiliated with an academic institution, non-profit organization, environmental start-up, or even an innovative new project within a company.

Volvo Environment Prize – Deadline: 1/10/21

  • Since the first award in 1990 the Volvo Environment Prize has become one of the scientific world’s most respected environmental prizes


ACM/Google A.M. Turning Award – Deadline: 1/15/21

  • The A. M. Turing Award is ACM’s oldest and most prestigious award. It is presented annually to an individual who has made lasting contributions of a technical nature to the computing community. The award is presented each June at the ACM Awards Banquet and is accompanied by a prize of $1,000,000 plus travel expenses to the banquet.

The Western Digital Foundation US Community Grants Program – Deadline: 1/15/21

  • Applications are welcome from organizations with programs serving one of the following geographical areas: Greater Bay Area, CA; Orange County, CA; Boulder County, CO; El Paso County, CO; Olmsted County, MN

Les Paul Foundation Grants – Deadline: 1/15/21

  • Preference is given to programs that relate to music innovation, engineering, and medical research that relates to hearing loss.

Financial Solutions Lab: Financial Resilience and Growth – Deadline: 1/12/21

  • Focus on fintech solutions that help low- to moderate-income individuals and historically underserved communities in the U.S. improve financial resilience and long-term stability in the wake of the pandemic.
  • Each company selected to participate in the 2021 Accelerator Cohort will receive: $125,000 investment


2020 HTRS/Novo Nordisk Clinical Fellowship Award (CFA) in Hemophilia and Rare Bleeding Disorders – Deadline: 1/15/21

  • The maximum grant is $119,600 USD, including an $80,000 stipend for one award recipient working in hemophilia and RBDs for one year, and a $39,600 stipend to support the primary mentor at the U.S.-based HTC identified in the applicant’s proposal.

BMI Scholarships – Deadline: 1/22/21

Amazon Literary Partnership – Deadline: 1/29/21

  • We support literary centers, writing workshops, residencies, fellowships, literary magazines, independent publishers, poetry, and translation programs.

Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge – Deadline: 1/29/21

  • Our fifth annual Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge aims to recognize new business ideas that leverage technology for social impact from entrepreneurs around the world. Our goal is to advance early-stage projects that are beyond the concept or idea formation stage, but which have not yet generated over $1M USD in funding and/or revenue.


L’Oréal USA For Women in Science fellowship program – Deadline: 1/29/21

  • The L’Oréal USA For Women in Science fellowship program awards five women postdoctoral scientists annually with grants of $60,000 each for their contributions in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields and commitment to serving as role models for younger generations.

BMI Woody Guthrie Fellowship – Deadline: 1/29/21

  • The Woody Guthrie Fellowship is an annual research program open to scholars pursuing topics or themes related to American folk music progenitor Woody Guthrie. ($5k)

Duke Energy Powerful Communities: K-12 Education – Deadline 1/31/21

  • Supporting programs to address the summer reading loss (“summer slide”) experienced by rising kindergartners through rising third graders, as well as programs that advance energy, engineering and environmental education through student programing or teacher professional development.
