About the Funder

The Green Bay Packers have a significant charitable and community presence throughout Wisconsin and the broader region.

Through Green Bay Packers Give Back, the organization supports communities through in-kind donations, charitable grants, player and alumni appearances, football outreach, community events, social justice initiatives, and other forms of engagement.

The Packers Foundation also operates a separate competitive cash grant program for Wisconsin nonprofit organizations.

The In-Kind Donation Program covered here is specifically designed to support charitable fundraising activities by providing Packers-related items.

What This Program Provides

The Green Bay Packers donate items primarily for use in:

  • Silent auctions
  • Live auctions
  • Raffles
  • Other fundraising activities benefiting charitable organizations or causes

The Packers do not publish a guaranteed list of available merchandise or donation values.

The specific item provided depends on inventory and the team’s review of the request.

Organizations should therefore avoid structuring an event around receiving a particular piece of Packers memorabilia.

Eligible Organizations

The Packers evaluate requests based on several factors, including:

  • Location of the organization
  • Location of the people benefiting from the organization’s services
  • 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
  • Purpose of the event
  • Event date

Organizations should clearly explain both their charitable status and how the fundraiser will benefit residents within the Packers’ eligible service area.

Geographic Focus

The Green Bay Packers limit this donation program to organizations and fundraising efforts benefiting residents of:

Wisconsin

Nonprofits throughout Wisconsin may be considered.

Upper Michigan

Organizations serving communities in Upper Michigan may also qualify.

Iowa

Eligible organizations and charitable fundraising efforts benefiting Iowa residents may apply.

Organizations outside these areas are not eligible.

The Packers evaluate both the location of the requesting organization and the location of the people benefiting from the fundraiser or services.

Best Uses for a Packers Donation

The program is especially well suited for nonprofit organizations hosting:

Silent Auctions

Packers-related items can be particularly attractive auction packages for Wisconsin and regional fundraising audiences.

Live Auctions

Organizations may incorporate an approved Packers item into a larger live-auction fundraiser.

Raffles

Unlike some NFL teams that prohibit raffle use, the Packers specifically identify raffles as a primary use for donated items.

Other Charitable Fundraisers

Other events may qualify when fundraising is a meaningful part of the event and proceeds support a charitable organization or cause.

Fundraising Must Be Part of the Event

The Packers will not provide in-kind donations for events where:

  • Fundraising is not part of the event; or
  • The fundraising does not support a charitable organization or charitable cause

Applicants should clearly explain:

  • What the event is
  • How funds will be raised
  • Who will benefit
  • How proceeds will support the nonprofit’s mission

What Is Not Available

The Packers specifically exclude several types of requests.

Specific Items or Autographs

Organizations cannot request:

  • A specific donation item
  • An autograph from a specific player
  • A specific piece of memorabilia

The Packers determine what item, if any, can be provided.

Personal Items for Autographs

The Packers will not autograph personal merchandise submitted by organizations or individuals.

Items sent to the Packers for autographing will be returned unsigned.

Organizations should not mail:

  • Jerseys
  • Footballs
  • Helmets
  • Photographs
  • Other personal merchandise

expecting them to be signed.

Game Tickets

The program does not provide tickets for:

  • Packers home games
  • Packers away games

Lambeau Field Event Tickets

Tickets to non-football events held at Lambeau Field are also not available.

Field & Pregame Passes

The Packers do not provide:

  • On-field passes
  • Pregame passes

through the donation request process.

Lambeau Field Tours

Lambeau Field tour experiences are not available as charitable donations through this program.

Application Timeline

📅 Application Timeline: Rolling / ongoing
📅 Minimum Lead Time: At least 6 weeks before the event
📅 Formal Annual Deadline: None

Requests submitted less than six weeks before an event are not eligible.

Organizations should ideally submit earlier than the required six-week minimum, particularly for major annual fundraisers.

New GrantsConnect Application Portal

Important 2026 Update: Effective July 27, 2026, Green Bay Packers Give Back moved donation requests to a new GrantsConnect applicant portal.

Organizations applying for an in-kind donation must create or use a GrantsConnect / Blackbaud ID.

Applicants that already have a GrantsConnect or Blackbaud ID from another funder may use the same login.

Organizations that used the system for the 2025 or 2026 Green Bay Packers Foundation grant process may also use their existing credentials.

Applicants should allow additional time before their first request to create and verify their account.

Application / Request Process

Organizations must submit information explaining the fundraising event and provide all required documentation.

The Packers prefer requests to be submitted through the online applicant portal.

Before beginning, applicants should be prepared to provide:

  • Organization name
  • 501(c)(3) nonprofit information
  • Organization location
  • Communities served
  • Description of the fundraising event
  • Event date
  • Charitable purpose
  • Explanation of how funds raised will be used
  • Contact information
  • Required supporting documentation

Organizations will need to create or sign in with a GrantsConnect / Blackbaud ID to access the application.

Separate Green Bay Packers Foundation Grants

Organizations should note that this in-kind donation opportunity is separate from the Green Bay Packers Foundation’s competitive grant program.

The Packers Foundation provides direct financial grants to eligible Wisconsin nonprofit organizations through an annual competitive process.

For 2026, the Foundation’s annual grant cycle focused on:

  • Animal welfare
  • Homelessness
  • Human services

The 2027 cycle will focus on:

  • Arts and culture
  • Environmental programs
  • Hunger

Organizations seeking cash support rather than an auction or raffle item should review the Packers Foundation program separately.

Why This Opportunity Is a Good Fit

This opportunity is a strong fit for organizations that:

  • Hold 501(c)(3) nonprofit status
  • Operate in Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, or Iowa
  • Serve residents of the eligible geographic area
  • Are planning a raffle or charitable auction
  • Can submit at least six weeks before the event
  • Can benefit from a recognizable sports-related in-kind contribution
  • Have an established fundraising event that supports a charitable organization or cause

The Green Bay Packers have an especially strong regional following, making team-related items potentially valuable additions to nonprofit auctions and raffles.

Applicants should focus their request on a specific established fundraiser and clearly explain both the charitable purpose and the communities that will benefit.

Because specific memorabilia and autographs cannot be requested, organizations should remain flexible about the item they receive and focus instead on how any Packers contribution could help increase charitable fundraising.
