About the Funder
The Labcorp Charitable Foundation was established in 2020 as a separate private 501(c)(3) charitable organization funded by Labcorp.

Eligibility & Preferences

- 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in the United States
- Equivalent charitable organizations under local law outside the United States
Organizations must align with one or more of the Foundation’s primary focus areas:
- Health and welfare
- Education
- Community well-being
Organizations throughout the United States and around the world are eligible to apply.
Priority is given to programs and initiatives serving communities in and around locations where Labcorp employees live and work.
Applications are evaluated based on factors including alignment with Foundation priorities, clearly defined goals and implementation plans, anticipated outcomes, and geographic impact.
A program may receive funding from the Labcorp Charitable Foundation only once during a 12-month period.
Ineligible Requests
The Foundation does not provide funding for:
- Individuals or families
- Capital campaigns
- Construction projects
- Renovation projects
- Political campaigns or candidates
- Individual or team sports
- Sports clubs, activities, or events
- Incentive or reward programs
- General operating support
Additional restrictions may apply, and applicants should review the current program guidelines before submitting a request.
Funding Amounts
Labcorp does not publish a standard grant range or maximum award amount on its public Foundation page.
Larger funding requests are subject to additional review and approval requirements.

Large funding requests require additional review and approvals. These requests are reviewed by the Foundation in March and September and may take approximately six months to complete depending on when the application is submitted.
Approved grant payments are typically disbursed within 60 days following approval.

Applications must be submitted through the Labcorp Charitable Foundation’s online grant application portal. Phone solicitations are not accepted.
Before applying, organizations must register with the Blackbaud Verified Network if they do not already have an account. Registration is free and required to submit an application.
Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate:

- Clearly defined program goals
- A realistic implementation plan
- Anticipated and measurable outcomes
