What This Program Supports
Innovation Grants fund new, experimental projects that:
- Address health or child-related issues in Louisiana
- Test a new or significantly revised approach to an established problem
- Are grounded in theory, research, or scientific reasoning
- Produce measurable outcomes and tangible results
- Generate lessons that can be shared statewide—whether successful or not
Funded projects are expected to be pilots that could inform broader systems change.
Funding Details
- Grant Amount: Generally up to $25,000
- Project Length: One year or less
- Eligible Applicants: Louisiana-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations only
Ineligible Requests
Innovation Grants do not support:
- Existing or ongoing programs
- General operating or programmatic support
- Replication or expansion of existing best practices

- Step 2: Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application
