Michigan Gas Utilities does not fund:

Fraternal, religious, or political organizations
Trips, tours, pageants, or athletics
Team or extracurricular school events or student exchange programs
Organizations outside service areas (unless funding a specific project delivered directly to customer communities)
Organizations without 501(c)(3) status
Organizations that discriminate on any basis (including race, color, religion, creed, age, gender, national origin, or sexual orientation)

Funding Amounts

Many grants are $1,000 or less
Grants of $25,000 or more are rare
Award sizes vary based on the project, organizational capacity, budget, impact, financial health, and support from other funders.
