The Mosaic Company and The Mosaic Company Foundation for Sustainable Food Systems provide charitable grants and in-kind support to organizations working to help the world grow the food it needs. Mosaic focuses its community investments on Food, Water, and Local Community priorities, supporting projects that strengthen food systems, protect natural resources, and enhance quality of life in communities where Mosaic operates.

Eligibility & Preferences
Eligible applicants must:
- Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (U.S.) or a registered charitable organization in Canada (or equivalent)
- Be located in North America where Mosaic has significant operations (unless seeking a national or global partnership)
- Agree to Mosaic’s non-discrimination requirements and attest to having written policies that prohibit discrimination
Funding preferences:
- Requests should generally not exceed 10% of the organization’s annual operating budget
- Requests should not exceed 50% of the program’s annual budget
Ineligible Requests
Mosaic does not fund:
- Individuals
- Grantmaking organizations
- Political or private membership organizations (with limited exceptions)
- Faith-based organizations serving only faith-selected communities
- Advocacy, lobbying, or electoral campaigns
- Endowment campaigns

⚠️ Minnesota-based grant requests are by invitation only.
Application / Request Process
All eligible organizations must apply through Mosaic’s online grant application system. Applicants should not specify which Mosaic entity they are seeking funding from, as Mosaic will determine the appropriate funding source.
Organizations with potential opportunities in India, China, or Brazil aligned with Food or Water priorities may inquire via email.
