MTF Biologics – Innovation in Allograft Translational Research Grants (2026)
The Innovation in Allograft Translational Research Grants program from MTF Biologics supports high-impact translational and clinical research that advances allograft tissue science and improves patient outcomes. For 2026, MTF Biologics is seeking proposals that utilize allograft tissues or allograft-derived materials and demonstrate a clear, credible pathway to clinical translation.
Projects focused solely on autologous approaches, synthetic-only materials, or technologies not centered on allografts are out of scope.

About the Funder
MTF Biologics is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing tissue-based solutions that improve patient care. Through its research grant programs, MTF Biologics invests in scientific innovation that strengthens the clinical performance, safety, and value of allograft-based therapies across multiple surgical and regenerative medicine applications.
Clinical Areas of Interest
Proposed research may focus on, but is not limited to:
- Orthopaedics
- Plastic and reconstructive surgery
- Aesthetics
- Surgical soft-tissue repair
- Abdominal wall reconstruction
- Wound care
- Other specialties where allograft transplantation technologies can drive meaningful improvement
Topic Areas of Interest
MTF Biologics welcomes proposals aligned with the following areas:
- Novel allograft uses with defined translational strategies
- Combination approaches integrating allografts with biomaterials, biologics, or other modalities
- Allograft-centric technologies including advanced processing, preservation, activation, and decellularization/recellularization
- Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine using allografts as preferred platforms
- Real-world evidence and health economics, including outcomes and cost-effectiveness research
- Extracellular vesicles and secretome research derived from allograft tissues
- Computational and precision approaches, including AI/ML, genomics, donor profiling, and decision-support tools
Other innovative topics aligned with program objectives will also be considered.
