The Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF) Micro Grant Program is designed to support smaller, grassroots nonprofits that are working to create a brighter future for youth in Central Florida.

This program provides accessible, targeted funding to help organizations launch, expand, or strengthen impactful programs that may otherwise lack the resources to move forward.

Central Florida – Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Brevard, Lake, and/or Volusia counties


About the Funder

The Orlando Magic Youth Foundation is the charitable arm of the NBA’s Orlando Magic. OMYF invests in youth-focused nonprofits across Central Florida, emphasizing community-driven solutions and measurable impact.

The Micro Grant Program reflects OMYF’s belief in grassroots leadership and the power of local organizations to drive meaningful change.


Funding Details

  • Maximum Request: $10,000
  • Application Deadline: Rolling (no set deadline)
  • Awards made on a quarterly cycle (see below)

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Hold 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status
  • Serve youth in one or more of the following counties:
    • Orange
    • Seminole
    • Osceola
    • Polk
    • Brevard
    • Lake
    • Volusia
  • Fit under one of OMYF’s four pillars:
    • Arts
    • Education
    • Health & Wellness
    • Homelessness
  • Have an operational budget under $500,000
  • Request no more than $10,000

Programs expanding creative access and artistic opportunities for youth.

📚 Education

Initiatives strengthening academic success and youth development.

💪 Health & Wellness

Programs supporting physical and mental health.

🏠 Homelessness

Services assisting children and families experiencing housing instability.


Award Timeline

Although applications are accepted on a rolling basis, awards are distributed quarterly:

  • Applications submitted October–December → Awarded mid-January
  • January–March → Awarded mid-April
  • April–June → Awarded mid-July
  • July–September → Awarded mid-October
