About the Program
The Pacers Foundation believes strong communities begin with strong partnerships. Through its statewide grant program, the Foundation supports nonprofits addressing critical community needs and improving outcomes for young people across Indiana.
Grants are designed to strengthen programs that produce measurable impact and demonstrate collaboration with local partners.
Funding Priorities
Eligible organizations must align with one or more of the following focus areas:
- Education
- Health
- Safety
Preference is given to organizations with a proven record of collaborating with other nonprofits, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
Eligibility Requirements
Organizations may be eligible if they:
- Are Indiana-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits
- Align with the Foundation’s focus areas of education, health, or safety
- Demonstrate strong community collaboration and measurable impact
Ineligible Requests
The Pacers Foundation does not fund:
- General operating expenses or administrative support
- Capital campaigns, endowments, or annual giving campaigns
- Infrastructure improvements
- Event sponsorships or advertising
- Equipment donations
Application Process
The Pacers Foundation uses a two-step application process:
Step 1: Submit an Interest Form
Quarterly deadlines:
- Quarter 1 – September 15
- Quarter 2 – December 15
- Quarter 3 – March 17
- Quarter 4 – June 16
All Interest Forms are reviewed after each deadline. Submission does not guarantee funding. Applicants are encouraged to submit early.
Selected organizations may be invited to proceed to the next stage of the application process.
