Eligibility & Preferences
Applicants must:
- Be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal shelter or foster-based rescue
- Have at least two years of active nonprofit status
- Be in good standing with prior PEDIGREE Foundation reporting (if applicable)
- Demonstrate strong organizational capacity, partnerships, and volunteer engagement
Municipal shelters must apply through a qualified nonprofit partner.
Ineligible Requests
PEDIGREE Foundation will not fund:
- Veterinary care, medical supplies, or spay/neuter programs
- Capital campaigns or facility projects
- General operating expenses or debt
- Event sponsorships or endowments
- Programs not directly tied to increasing dog adoption

- $100,000 total ($50,000 per year over two years)
- One grant awarded in 2026

Semi-finalists will undergo an unannounced site visit as part of the review process.
