- College readiness, stay-in-school efforts
Life Skills
- Mentoring
- Financial literacy
- After-school programs
- Soft skills and career readiness / job skills
Gift cards must be used exclusively for school or professional clothing and accessories.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all criteria:
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit, school, or government program
- Serve at least 60% youth from low-income families
- Operate within 25 miles of a Ross Dress for Less or dd’s DISCOUNTS store
- Provide ongoing (not one-time) academic or life skills programming
- Have not received Ross funding in the past 12 months
- Comply with Ross’s EEO and non-discrimination policies
Ineligible Requests
Ross does not fund:
- One-time events, fundraisers, or giveaways
- Sports programs or booster clubs
- Medical/health or social service programs
- Animal welfare, fine arts, camps/retreats
- Religious programs not open to the general community
Timeline & Application Cycles
- Current Cycle: January 19 – March 20, 2026
- Additional 2026 cycles: April 27 – June 26; July 20 – September 18

During each cycle, organizations must:
- Complete the eligibility quiz
- Submit an application through the online portal by the deadline
