About the Funder

SBB Research Group Foundation supports ambitious organizations working to solve unmet needs with thoughtful, long-term strategies. The Foundation’s grant program grew out of SBB Research Group LLC’s COVID-19 Grant Program, which was created to support nonprofit organizations and communities affected by the pandemic.

After two years of impact through the COVID-19 Grant Program, the Foundation continued its philanthropic commitment by offering monthly grants to nonprofit organizations through the SBB Research Group Foundation Grant Program.

What This Program Supports

The SBB Research Group Foundation Grant Program is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations working to address meaningful community needs.

The Foundation does not limit the program to a single issue area on its public application page. Instead, it encourages ambitious nonprofit organizations with strong missions and meaningful community impact to apply.

Strong-fit organizations may include nonprofits that:

Address unmet community needs
Use thoughtful, long-term strategies
Have a clear and compelling mission
Can describe their impact in a brief application and presentation process
Would benefit from flexible grant support

Eligible Support Types

Monthly nonprofit grants
General charitable support
Flexible grant funding
Potential opportunity to pursue additional funding from SBB Research Group

Eligibility & Preferences

Any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization may apply.

Preference is given to organizations with:

Five to forty-nine full-time employees
A clear mission and demonstrated community impact
A strong case for how grant funding would support the organization’s work

Organizations may apply one time per calendar year. Applicants that are not selected as a finalist or winner may still be considered in subsequent months, so nonprofits are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Ineligible Requests

The Foundation does not publish a detailed list of ineligible requests on the main application page. However, applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations to be eligible.

Selections of nominees, finalists, and winners are made at the Foundation’s sole discretion.

Funding Amounts

At least one winner is selected each month to receive a $5,000 grant.

Other finalists receive $1,000.

Monthly winners also receive the opportunity to pursue additional funding opportunities from SBB Research Group.
