About the Funder

Shaw Industries is committed to creating a better future through civic involvement, philanthropy, volunteerism, and workforce development. Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) office, Shaw provides charitable financial and in-kind grants to organizations that align with its corporate values and CSR priorities. Shaw’s giving is strictly charitable in nature—no business or commercial benefit is received in return.

In addition to community grants, Shaw supports long-term strategic partnerships and administers an Associate Dependent Scholarship Program for qualifying high school seniors.

Shaw’s CSR Priorities

Shaw’s giving is centered on causes core to its culture and future workforce needs:

  1. United Way and Partner Agencies
  2. K–12 STEM Education, with an emphasis on engineering and manufacturing
  3. Workforce Development aligned with Shaw’s future talent needs
  4. Community Enrichment in areas where Shaw associates live and work
  5. Strategic Corporate Giving Partnerships, including:
    • St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
    • Homes For Our Troops
  6. Promoting Volunteerism across the Shaw enterprise
