Funding Overview

  • Grant Amount: Up to $35,000
  • Limit: One grant per charitable organization per calendar year
  • Co-Funding Preference: U.S. Venture prefers not to be the sole funder. Applicants must list pending and committed sponsors.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for CEC funding:

  • Must be a recognized public charity under IRS guidelines (preference for 501(c)(3) status)
  • Must align with U.S. Venture’s giving guidelines
  • Must demonstrate documented support from a U.S. Venture team member or shareholder
  • Must disclose other funding partners (CEC typically does not serve as sole financial supporter)

Important:
For this grant cycle, the foundation is only accepting applications from nonprofits that have been historically fundedby USV/SFF.


Application Process

Grants (Up to $35,000)

Applications are submitted through the foundation’s Temelio grant platform.

Key notes:

  • Only historically funded nonprofits may apply in this cycle.
  • Application questions can be downloaded for offline review, but submissions must be completed within Temelio.
  • Live chat support is available within Temelio during business hours.

Sponsorship Requests (Separate Process)

Beginning in 2026, sponsorships are now team member-driven:

  • Requests must be submitted internally by a participating U.S. Venture team member via SharePoint.
  • External organizations cannot submit sponsorship requests directly.

Current Cycle Open: March 30, 2026
Application Deadline: May 17, 2026

Additional 2026 cycles:

  • June 29 – August 16, 2026
  • October 12 – November 15, 2026
