Eligibility & Requirements
Eligible Applicants
- Nonprofit organizations serving rural communities within:
- Alaska
- Arizona
- California
- Idaho
- Montana
- Oregon
- Washington
Application Requirements
- Online grant submission
- A letter of support from a current AgWest employee or active AgWest customer
- Evidence of financial backing from other sources
- If selected, submission of a W-9 or IRS determination letter
Ineligible Requests
The following are not eligible for funding:
- AgWest customers
- Lobbying or political organizations
- Fraternal or labor organizations
- Projects with zero funds raised prior to application
- Projects benefiting individuals, corporations, or LLCs
- Scholarships or sponsorships
- Operating expenses or advertising
- Food purchases
- Fundraising events or benefit dinners
- Travel expenses
- Sports team or camp sponsorships
- Deficits, loans, or debt retirement
- Annual community events
