Eligibility & Key Requirements
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
- One proposal per organization may be reviewed within a 12-month period
- Only complete proposals receive full consideration
Ineligible Requests
The Amboy Foundation does not fund:
- Individuals
- Political causes, candidates, or organizations primarily focused on influencing legislation
- Religious organizations (unless the project meets Foundation guidelines)
- Private clubs or fraternal organizations
- Labor groups
- Intermediary organizations that regrant funds to others

Applicants must submit a cover letter (no more than two pages) that includes:
- Project objectives and background
- Budget and funding sources
- Demonstration of need
- Specific plans and timelines
- Current and long-term funding plans
- Organizational and staff qualifications
Additional required materials:
- Current operating budget
- Board of Directors and key management list
- Total compensation for the top two paid personnel
- IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter
- Most recent independent audit
- Most recent IRS Form 990
- Primary contact information
- Description of Amboy’s relationship with your organization (including past contributions or employee volunteer involvement)
