Applicants must apply separately for grants or sponsorships, depending on the nature of the request.


Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for funding, applicants must:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (not a private foundation)
  • Be located in, or provide services to, a community where Ameren has a business presence
  • Align with Ameren’s values and purpose
  • Provide opportunities to:

    • Increase brand awareness and reputation
    • Support employee engagement
  • Demonstrate potential for a long-term, sustainable partnership

Ineligible Requests

Ameren does not provide grants or sponsorships to:

  • Individuals (including scholarship requests)
  • Political parties, organizations, or activities
  • Religious organizations for denominational or religious purposes
  • Conferences (unless held in a community where Ameren has a business presence)
  • Organizations seeking multiple contributions within the same calendar year
  • Foreign organizations
  • For-profit organizations
  • Sports teams or sporting events

Application Process

Ameren uses an online donation platform to accept both grant and sponsorship requests. Applicants should select the application that best matches their request type and geographic location.
