Citizens Bank’s Charitable Giving Program supports nonprofit organizations working to improve quality of life in the communities the bank serves. Funding is available for programs and initiatives focused on education and youth, health and human services, civic and cultural activities, and community and economic development.

Eligibility & Geographic Preferences
The program is intended primarily for nonprofit organizations serving communities within Citizens Bank’s footprint.
Citizens Bank is based in Mukwonago and maintains locations in communities including Mukwonago, East Troy, Big Bend, Eagle, Genesee, Muskego, New Berlin, Vernon, and Waukesha.
Organizations serving Waukesha and Walworth counties and surrounding southeast Wisconsin communities are likely to be the strongest fit.
The application requests an organization’s EIN/Tax ID number and may require supporting documentation such as a W-9 and IRS Letter of Determination.
Ineligible Requests
Citizens Bank will not consider requests for:
- Individual sponsorships
- Fraternal or alumni organizations
- Political Action Committees
- Political candidates
- Political causes or organizations attempting to influence legislation
- Discretionary or non-specific use of funds
- Operating expenses
- Trips or tours for individuals or groups
- Talent contests
- Beauty contests
Organizations requesting general operating support should note that operating expenses are specifically excludedfrom this program.

- Event date and location
- How requested funds will be used
- Who will benefit from the funding
- Any affiliation with a Citizens Bank employee, customer, director, or stockholder
