The bank currently has branches in:
- Cameron, Wisconsin
- Grantsburg, Wisconsin
- Siren, Wisconsin
Priority is given to:
- Nonprofit organizations
- Organizations serving Community Bank communities
- Community Bank customers
Applicants are asked whether their organization is a nonprofit and must upload a copy of their IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter as part of the online application.
Funding Amounts
Community Bank does not publish a standard annual grant award range.
As examples, organizations supported through the program in 2025 included:
- Webster Area Chamber of Commerce – $5,000
- Interfaith Caregivers of Polk County – $3,000
- Barron County Developmental Services, Inc. – $2,500
These previous awards provide useful context but should not be interpreted as guaranteed minimum or maximum award amounts.
Community Bank also allows individual branch managers to approve community-function donations of up to $500 at their discretion.
Requests exceeding $500 are reviewed by a designated committee appointed by the bank president.
Ineligible Requests
Community Bank does not provide support for:
- Operating expenses
- Churches or religious groups
- Political programs or activities
- Requests that could create a potential conflict of interest
Applicants should therefore request funding for a specific program, project, or initiative rather than general organizational operations.
Additional Giving Guidelines
Organizations should also be aware of the following restrictions and preferences:
- Funds must be used within Community Bank’s service territory.
- Priority is given to nonprofit organizations.
- Priority is also given to Community Bank customers.
- Funding cannot be used for operating expenses.
- An organization may qualify for a contribution only once within a five-year period.
- Community Bank reserves the right to change, waive, or discontinue its charitable giving programs.
The five-year restriction is particularly important for organizations that have previously received Community Bank funding.
