  • Requests must demonstrate a clear connection to Domtar’s operating communities
  • Preference is given to programs aligned with Domtar’s focus areas and values
  • Organizations must apply through Domtar’s online application form

Ineligible Requests

Domtar does not make charitable donations to:

  • Individuals
  • Organizations that discriminate against protected classes
  • Religious organizations that primarily serve their own faith community
  • Organizations or charities associated with elected officials or candidates
  • Political causes, candidates, organizations, or campaigns

Timeline & Review

📅 Application Window: January 1 – November 30
🔄 Review Schedule: Requests are reviewed every two months
📧 Notification: All applicants are contacted by email, regardless of approval status


Application Process

All community investment requests must be submitted through Domtar’s online application portal. Applicants should clearly describe the community need, how the request aligns with Domtar’s focus areas, and the expected local impact.
