2 Min Read

Large-Scale Grants Advancing Economic Mobility & Inclusion

The Eastern Bank Foundation Impact Grant Program provides significant, multi-year capable grant funding to nonprofit organizations serving low- to moderate-income (LMI) individuals and families. Impact Grants support organizations driving systems-level change within Eastern Bank Foundation’s core impact areas.

Organization: Eastern Bank Foundation
Support Type: Impact grants (financial support)
Geographic Focus: Eastern Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire, Rhode Island

About the Funder

Eastern Bank Foundation’s Impact Grants represent its most strategic investments—supporting organizations with a direct and substantial role in advancing economic mobility, equity, and inclusion. These grants prioritize innovation, scale, and measurable outcomes.

What This Program Supports

Impact Grants fund work aligned with one or more of EBF’s five Impact Areas:

  • Advancing equity in the small business ecosystem
  • Enriching early childhood development (ages 0–5)
    (Not focused on K–16 initiatives)
  • Meeting the demand for safe, supportive, and affordable housing
  • Promoting workforce development for “untapped talent” leading to family-sustaining wages
    • Includes immigrant workers, workers with disabilities, and others facing barriers
  • Innovative approaches that advance economic mobility and inclusion across these areas

Funding Amounts

💰 Typical Impact Grant Range: $50,000 – $100,000
💰 Larger awards possible for highly aligned, high-impact initiatives

Unlike other EBF funding streams, Impact Grants use a two-step application process.
