Eligible Support Types

  • Corporate donations and sponsorships
  • Foundation grants for qualifying nonprofit programs
  • Event-related sponsorships (requests must be submitted at least 60 days in advance)

Eligibility & Preferences

Eligible organizations must:

  • Be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (or equivalent)
  • Operate in or directly serve a Generac community
  • Align with Generac’s giving priorities
  • Offer programs and services using non-discriminatory practices

Ineligible Requests

The Generac Foundation generally does not support:

  • Individuals or personal fundraisers
  • Religious organizations or congregation-only programs
  • Political, labor, or fraternal organizations
  • Private or family foundations
  • Travel expenses, mission trips, or conference attendance
  • Multi-year commitments
  • Tuition scholarships
  • Third-party fundraisers
  • Capital campaigns or endowments
  • Donations of Generac products or funding to purchase Generac products

Generac does not publish standard award amounts. Funding levels vary based on alignment with priorities, geography, and available resources.

  • Application Timeline: Rolling
  • Event Requests: Submit at least 60 days in advance
  • Review Process: Internal review by the Generac Foundation donations committee
  • Decision Status: All decisions are final and subject to change without notice
