Community Grants & Local Support for Nonprofit Organizations

Price Chopper, Market 32, and the Golub Corporation are committed to social responsibility and supporting organizations that improve quality of life in the communities they serve. Through the Golub Foundation and local store support, the company provides financial and in-kind assistance to eligible nonprofit organizations within its marketing areas.

About the Funder

Established in 1981, the Golub Foundation is the charitable arm of the Golub Corporation and Price Chopper. The Foundation supports soundly managed nonprofit organizations working to strengthen communities through health, education, arts, and youth-focused initiatives. In addition to Foundation grants, local Price Chopper and Market 32 stores may provide in-kind support to help nonprofits successfully host fundraising events.


What This Program Supports

The Golub Foundation provides financial support to eligible nonprofit organizations working in the following areas:

  • Health and human services
  • Arts and culture
  • Education
  • Youth activities

Funding is limited to organizations operating within Price Chopper and Market 32 marketing areas.


Local Store Support

In addition to foundation grants, local Price Chopper and Market 32 stores may offer:

  • Free ticket printing
  • Cups and napkins for fundraising events

Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to speak directly with the store manager at the Price Chopper or Market 32 location closest to their organization.


Eligibility & Application Requirements

To be considered for support, organizations must:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
  • Upload a copy of the IRS federal ruling letter
  • Submit requests at least 6 weeks prior to the program or event start date
  • Limit requests to one per fiscal year (May–April)
  • Operate within Price Chopper / Market 32 marketing areas

Funding Restrictions

Price Chopper, Market 32, and the Golub Foundation do not provide contributions to:

  • Individuals
  • Political campaigns or political organizations
  • Organizations or events outside of marketing areas
  • Endowments

Timeline & Review

📅 Submission Deadline: Minimum 6 weeks in advance
📅 Review Period: Allow up to 4 weeks for a response
📅 Request Limit: One request per organization per fiscal year

Applicants should be prepared to provide the following information when applying:

  • Organization mission and vision
  • Who the organization serves and how
  • Number of people served
  • Market served and impacted Price Chopper / Market 32 stores
  • Demographic information
  • Description of what support is being requested
  • Amount or item requested
  • Copy of 501(c)(3) ruling letter
  • Acknowledgement or recognition being offered
  • Event promotion details, if applicable
