Through its Community Grant Program, Greif supports nonprofit organizations that help create positive and lasting social, environmental, and economic impact in the places where Greif colleagues and customers live and work.

About the Funder

Greif is a global industrial packaging leader with a strong commitment to community partnership. The company invests in organizations that strengthen local communities, support employee engagement, and enhance Greif’s reputation as a responsible corporate citizen. Giving is aligned with both community impact and Greif’s long-term business and workforce goals.


Funding Priorities

All grant requests must align with one of the following three focus areas:

  • Education
  • Health
  • Social Services

In addition to mission alignment, funded projects should help:

  • Increase Greif brand recognition and reputation, and/or
  • Support talent recruitment and colleague retention

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for funding, organizations must:

  • Be an established 501(c)(3) charitable organization
    • (Or an international equivalent outside the U.S.)
  • Operate in or serve communities where Greif has operations
  • Align with one of Greif’s three focus areas
  • Demonstrate a clear community benefit

Greif does not make grants to:
