Eligibility & Requirements
To be eligible for support, organizations must:
Operate within the immediate H-E-B service area
Maintain valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status as designated by the IRS
Submit requests greater than $200 through H-E-B’s online application system
Submit applications at least eight weeks before the date the organization wishes to receive an approval or decline notification
Reapply online each year if seeking continued or renewed funding
Organizations may not submit the same request to more than one H-E-B Brand facility. This includes submitting the same request to multiple H-E-B, Central Market, Mi Tienda, or Joe V’s Smart Shop stores, or submitting both online and to a local store for the same event or program.
Requests Under $200
Requests smaller than $200 should be directed to a local H-E-B store.
Requests Over $200
Donation requests greater than $200 must be submitted through H-E-B’s online application system and will not be accepted by email.
Ineligible Requests
H-E-B Public Affairs does not support funding for:
Advertising
Individuals
Operating expenses
School trips
Sports events
Sports teams
Third-party fundraisers
Funding Amounts
H-E-B does not publish standard award amounts. Support may be provided as monetary funding, in-kind product, or volunteer support depending on the request, community need, program alignment, and available resources.

Organizations requesting more than $200 in support must apply through H-E-B’s My Community Investment online portal. Applicants should prepare organizational information, proof of 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, program details, and a clear explanation of how the request aligns with H-E-B’s community investment priorities.
Requests under $200 should be submitted directly to a local H-E-B store.
