  • Be a U.S.-based organization
  • Maintain current tax-exempt status under:
    • 501(c)(3) or
    • 501(c)(19) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code
    • Or equivalent qualifying public entity (e.g., public schools)
  • Submit required documentation within 30 days of the donation request:
    • Tax ID Number
    • IRS determination letter
    • NCES ID number (for schools)

If documentation is not received within 30 days, the request will be declined.


Ineligible Requests

Harbor Freight does not fulfill all donation requests and may decline applications that fall outside its three priority areas:

  • Organizations not serving K-12 public schools, veterans, or first responders
  • Organizations without appropriate tax-exempt status
  • Requests lacking required documentation

Funding Amounts

Harbor Freight does not publish standard donation amounts. Support is typically provided in the form of in-kind tools or equipment based on organizational need and alignment with priorities.
