About the Funder

The Sacramento Kings support nonprofit organizations across the region through in-kind donations that help raise funds, elevate community programming, and strengthen youth and family initiatives. The team prioritizes organizations that align with their commitment to education, health and wellness, social equity, and youth development.

Donations are typically used for auctions, raffles, and fundraising events benefiting the local community.


What This Program Funds

The Sacramento Kings provide in-kind donations only (not cash grants).

Donations may include:

1. Autographed Kings Memorabilia

  • Signed basketballs

  • Signed jerseys

  • Signed photos or merchandise

2. Team-Branded Items

  • Promotional items

  • Community engagement merchandise

Typical use cases include:

  • Auctions or raffles at fundraisers

  • Youth sports or school events

  • Community festivals

  • Charity benefit events

Note: The Kings do not support requests for personal items, private signings, or endorsement-style giveaways.

Applicants must:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, school, or qualifying community organization

  • Operate within the Sacramento region or Northern California

  • Submit a request at least 6 weeks before the needed date

  • Clearly describe the event, purpose, and how the donation will be used

The Kings generally do not support:

  • Individuals or personal fundraising

  • Travel or sports team sponsorship requests

  • Organizations outside the region

  • For-profit events

  • Requests with incomplete information

One request per organization per year is typically allowed.


Funding Amounts

The Kings do not publish dollar values for donated items.
Support typically consists of:

  • One donated item per approved request

  • Autographed memorabilia used for charitable purposes


Deadline

Requests are accepted year-round, but must be submitted:

  • At least 6 weeks prior to the event or needed date

Due to high demand, not all requests can be fulfilled.


Geographic Focus

Priority is given to organizations in:

  • Sacramento

  • Northern California communities within the Kings’ fan and service area

Requests outside this region are unlikely to be approved.


Application Process

  1. Visit the Sacramento Kings Donation Request page

  2. Complete the online submission form

  3. Provide:

    • Organization mission and nonprofit verification

    • Event details and date

    • Intended use of donation (auction, raffle, etc.)

    • Contact information

  4. The Kings review applications on a rolling basis

  5. Notifications are sent via email
