Eligible Support Types
- Program Grants to support direct service delivery or expansion

Eligibility & Preferences
Applicants must:
- Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (municipalities may be considered in limited cases)
- Demonstrate strong local impact
- Align with one or more of the Foundation’s funding priorities
- Serve communities within the Northwest Community Bank footprint
Geographic priority includes towns such as Hartford, Waterbury, Torrington, Farmington, West Hartford, New Britain, and surrounding areas across Connecticut.
Additional notes:
- Organizations may apply once per year
- Requests may not exceed $25,000
- The Foundation prefers organizations directly serving its local communities, though regional programs may be considered
Ineligible Requests
The Foundation will not fund:
- Individuals or scholarships
- Political or lobbying organizations
- Religious activities requiring participation
- Fundraising events, sponsorships, or tickets
- Travel (e.g., conferences, trips)
- Endowment campaigns
- Organizations using a fiscal sponsor
