About the Funder

O Bee Credit Union (founded by Olympia Brewery workers) is deeply rooted in community service across the South Puget Sound region of Washington State. Through its Sponsorships & Donations Program, O Bee supports local nonprofits, schools, and community groups that strengthen the well-being of residents. Their giving focuses on youth education, financial literacy, community events, health and safety, and programs that enrich local neighborhoods.

O Bee is especially supportive of initiatives that build community connection and reflect cooperative values.


What This Program Funds

O Bee Credit Union offers financial sponsorships, donation support, and community partnerships. Typical assistance includes:

Eligibility

Eligible organizations must:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, school, or community-based organization

  • Serve communities within O Bee Credit Union’s Washington State service area

  • Demonstrate a community-centered mission

  • Submit an online sponsorship/donation request form

O Bee generally does not support:

  • Individuals or personal fundraisers

  • For-profit events

  • Political or religious causes not broadly community-serving

  • Organizations outside their geographic footprint


Funding Amounts

O Bee does not publish standard funding levels.

  • Event/program size

  • Community impact

  • Alignment with O Bee’s values

  • Availability of annual sponsorship funds


Deadline

Requests may be submitted year-round.
O Bee asks that applications be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event or funding need.


Geographic Focus

O Bee Credit Union supports organizations primarily in the South Puget Sound region of Washington, including (but not limited to):

  • Olympia

  • Lacey

  • Tumwater

  • Tenino

  • Yelm

  • Other nearby communities where members live and work

Requests outside their Washington State footprint are not eligible.


Application Process

To request support from O Bee Credit Union:

  1. Visit the O Bee Sponsorships & Donations page

  2. Review guidelines and eligibility

  3. Complete the online Sponsorship or Donation Request Form

  4. Provide:

    • Organization details

    • Event/program description

    • Community impact

    • Amount requested

    • Timeline and expected audience

  5. O Bee reviews applications and responds with approval or follow-up questions
