The ONEOK Foundation provides charitable grants to support programs and projects that strengthen communities through two core focus areas: Safety and Education. Funding prioritizes initiatives that deliver measurable, long-term impact within the service footprint of ONEOK.

Priority is given to programs that:
- Use data, best practices, and innovation for sustainable solutions
- Increase access to resources and build community capacity
- Create long-term impact through coordinated, continuum-of-services approaches
Education
Objectives
- Strengthen public school learning environments and address unmet needs
- Expand access to STEM for learners in grades 3+
- Support career readiness, workforce development, and upskilling for learners in grades 6+
Priority is given to programs that:
- Leverage innovation to close academic gaps
- Increase awareness of midstream energy-related careers and pathways
- Align with high-demand industry workforce needs
Eligibility
Organizations and initiatives generally supported include:
- IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofits and/or state tax-exempt organizations
- State, local, or tribal government entities providing community services
- Public K–12 schools, districts, and their foundations
- Post-secondary technical programs, trade schools, colleges, and universities
- Collaborative initiatives addressing essential needs, access to resources, development, and engagement
Ineligible Requests
The Foundation generally does not support:
- Private foundations, endowments, or for-profit entities
- Private, religious, or charter schools (including public charter schools)
- Fundraisers, galas, tournaments, sponsorships, travel, teams, or uniforms
- Clubs, parent organizations, extracurricular groups, and related activities
- Preschool/early childhood/childcare programs
- Religious activities or causes; political activities or candidates
- Programs that discriminate or limit community access
- Excessive salaries, travel, incentives, debt reduction
- Programs focused solely on arts and culture
- International programs outside the United States
Grant Priorities & Evaluation
Competitive proposals typically demonstrate:
- Clear alignment with Safety or Education focus areas
- Collaboration to address community needs
- Organizational capacity and documented community need
- Defined goals and outcomes with measurement plans
- Opportunities for ONEOK employee engagement
- Potential for scalability or replication
Application Process
Eligible organizations should review guidelines and submit requests through ONEOK’s community investments portal. Applicants are encouraged to clearly articulate alignment with focus areas and expected outcomes.
