Budgeting, credit-building, and financial education
Savings and investment readiness
Financial empowerment for low- and moderate-income communities

Eligibility Requirements

To apply, organizations must:

Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit
Demonstrate significant local impact
Align with one or more Foundation focus areas
Primarily serve low- to moderate-income individuals and families within Salem Five’s community footprint

Additional guidelines:

Organizations may receive funding once per calendar year
Requests are not reviewed until all required documentation is submitted
To receive funds by year-end, applications must be submitted by November 15

Ineligible Requests

The Foundation does not typically fund:

Individuals or scholarships
Animal-related causes
Major capital or endowment campaigns
Travel (conferences, seminars, tours, student trips)
Political organizations or candidates
Religious activities, discriminatory organizations, or individual endeavors
