SELCO Credit Union – Community Sponsorship Program

2 Min Read

Removing Barriers to Learning Through Youth & Financial Education

Founded by teachers, SELCO Credit Union is deeply committed to supporting programs that remove barriers to learning—especially initiatives focused on youth and financial education. Through its Community Sponsorship Program, SELCO provides targeted support to nonprofit organizations whose work aligns with this mission across the Oregon communities it serves.

Organizations that meet SELCO’s eligibility guidelines are encouraged to submit a sponsorship request for consideration.

Organization: SELCO Credit Union
Support Type: Sponsorships
Geographic Focus: 27 counties in Oregon served by SELCO Credit Union

About the Funder

SELCO Credit Union was founded by educators and continues to prioritize learning, access, and opportunity in its community investments. By focusing sponsorships on programs—rather than one-time events—SELCO aims to deliver direct, meaningful impact that supports education and long-term financial wellbeing.

Sponsorship Priorities

Requested funds must support SELCO’s commitment to:

  • Removing barriers to learning
  • Youth education and development
  • Financial education and financial literacy

SELCO often prioritizes programmatic or initiative-based sponsorships rather than event sponsorships to maximize community impact.

Eligibility & Funding Guidelines

  • Requests over $100 must be submitted through SELCO’s online application
  • Requests under $100 may be directed to the SELCO branch closest to the organization or event
  • Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
  • Organizations must operate within one of the 27 Oregon counties served by SELCO

Ineligible Requests

SELCO Credit Union does not consider requests that involve:

  • Requests from individuals

Application / Request Process

  • Submit sponsorship requests over $100 through SELCO’s online application
  • Requests under $100 should be directed to a local SELCO branch
  • Requests are reviewed on a rolling basis
  • Applicants should allow up to 30 days for review and notification
