About the Funder

Sprouts Farmers Market is a specialty grocery retailer focused on fresh, natural, and organic foods. Through its community giving efforts, Sprouts partners with local nonprofit organizations and provides support when resources are available.

This donation and sponsorship program is separate from larger grant opportunities offered through the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation.

What This Program Supports

Sprouts considers requests from local nonprofit organizations seeking support for community programs, activities, and events.

Available forms of support may include:

Gift Cards

Organizations may request Sprouts gift cards to support nonprofit activities, events, fundraising efforts, or community programs.

In-Kind Donations

Organizations may request donated products or other in-kind support. Approved in-kind donations may require pickup at a designated Sprouts store.

Sponsorships

Nonprofits may submit sponsorship requests for events and other opportunities. Applicants requesting sponsorship support must upload documentation describing the available sponsorship opportunities.

Other Donation Requests

Organizations may also describe other types of requested support through the online application.

Eligible Support Types

Sprouts may consider requests for:

  • Gift cards
  • In-kind donations
  • Event support
  • Sponsorships
  • Other charitable donations

Available support depends on resources and the volume of requests received.

Eligibility & Preferences

Organizations requesting support must:

  • Hold current 501(c)(3) nonprofit status
  • Provide a copy of their IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter
  • Complete all required sections of the application
  • Submit requests at least two months before the month the donation is needed

Sprouts partners primarily with local nonprofit organizations in communities where its stores operate. Applicants can use the Sprouts store locator to identify nearby locations.

Organizations may receive a donation only once per calendar year.

Ineligible Requests

Sprouts does not provide donations to:

  • Individuals
  • Individuals seeking personal pledges or sponsorships
  • Organizations that cannot provide current proof of 501(c)(3) nonprofit status

Previous support does not guarantee future funding.

Funding Amounts

Sprouts does not publish standard donation or sponsorship amounts.

The value and type of support vary based on:

  • The specific request
  • Available resources
  • The proposed event or activity
  • Local community alignment

Because Sprouts receives a high volume of applications, many eligible requests may not receive support.

Timeline & Review

πŸ“… Application Timeline: Rolling / ongoing
πŸ“… Required Lead Time: At least two months before the month the donation is needed
πŸ“… Review Process: First come, first served
