Community Grants & Sponsorships Supporting Arizona Nonprofits

SRP supports local nonprofit organizations and public entities working to strengthen communities and advance a sustainable, vibrant future across Arizona. Through its corporate contributions program, SRP provides monetary assistance and volunteer support to organizations aligned with its community priorities.

About the Funder

SRP is a community-based utility committed to building a sustainable and vibrant future for the communities it serves. In addition to providing reliable water and electric services, SRP invests in local nonprofits and public entities that address essential needs, expand educational opportunities, and enrich community life throughout Arizona.


Giving Priorities

SRP provides funding and support in the following focus areas:

Basic Needs
Programs that provide food, shelter, safety, and other essentials to help underserved communities become more self-sufficient.

Community Education
Educational initiatives including classroom enrichment and programs focused on:

  • STEM education
  • Safety
  • Job readiness and employment skills

Community Enrichment
Sponsorship of local events and programs that enhance quality of life in the Valley and surrounding areas, including:

  • Arts and culture
  • Public and civic engagement
  • Environmental sustainability

Eligible Organizations

Qualifying applicants must be one of the following Arizona-based entities:

  • 501(c)(3) public charities registered in Arizona
  • Counties or municipalities in Arizona requesting funding under IRS section 170(c)(1)
  • Teachers in Arizona
  • Tribal governments located in Arizona

Eligible Service Areas

Organizations must provide services within SRP’s qualifying service areas:

  • Gila County
  • Maricopa County
  • Apache County
  • Navajo County
  • Pinal County
  • City of St. Johns
  • Yavapai County

Ineligible Requests

SRP does not fund the following through community partnerships:

  • Individuals (including requests for specific students, researchers, travel, or conference fees)
  • Organizations that discriminate based on protected characteristics
  • Endowment programs
  • Medical research projects or medical procedures for individuals
  • Professional schools of art, academic art programs, or individual high school or college performing groups
  • Political or lobbying groups or campaigns
  • Fraternal organizations, professional associations, or membership-based groups
  • Organizations not providing services in SRP electric or water service or employment areas
  • Public or commercial broadcasting programs
  • Religious activities or church-sponsored programs limited to church membership
  • Debt reduction campaigns
  • Donations of water, electricity, equipment, or fee-based services

Application / Review Notes

SRP has established corporate giving guidelines to ensure funds reach communities with the greatest need. Organizations should carefully review eligibility, geographic requirements, and focus areas prior to submitting a request.

Support may include monetary contributions, sponsorships, and volunteer engagement, depending on alignment and availability.
