To be considered, organizations must:

  • Be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit in good standing with the IRS
  • Operate within one of BAE Systems’ mission areas
  • Demonstrate a Charity Navigator (or equivalent) 3-star rating or higher
    • Unrated organizations may be asked to provide additional information on financial and organizational health
  • Submit audited financial statements or a financial review for requests over $10,000

Ineligible Organizations & Requests

BAE Systems does not support:

  • For-profit businesses
  • Political candidates or political organizations
  • Organizations whose values conflict with BAE Systems’ cultural principles
  • Organizations that discriminate against protected classes

Ineligible requests include:

  • Capital campaigns
  • Memorials or endowments
  • Scholarships, fellowships, or grants to individuals or families
  • Individual schools or school-based programs
  • Athletic events or teams

Application & Review Process

  • Community investments are managed by BAE Systems’ individual business sectors
  • Invited organizations should follow the instructions provided in their invitation
  • Organizations that have not been invited may still apply and may be considered through contingency budgets
  • All applications are reviewed based on alignment with mission areas, organizational health, and available resources
