Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, organizations must:
- Be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit in good standing with the IRS
- Operate within one of BAE Systems’ mission areas
- Demonstrate a Charity Navigator (or equivalent) 3-star rating or higher
- Unrated organizations may be asked to provide additional information on financial and organizational health
- Submit audited financial statements or a financial review for requests over $10,000
Ineligible Organizations & Requests
BAE Systems does not support:
- For-profit businesses
- Political candidates or political organizations
- Organizations whose values conflict with BAE Systems’ cultural principles
- Organizations that discriminate against protected classes
Ineligible requests include:
- Capital campaigns
- Memorials or endowments
- Scholarships, fellowships, or grants to individuals or families
- Individual schools or school-based programs
- Athletic events or teams
Application & Review Process
- Community investments are managed by BAE Systems’ individual business sectors
- Invited organizations should follow the instructions provided in their invitation
- Organizations that have not been invited may still apply and may be considered through contingency budgets
- All applications are reviewed based on alignment with mission areas, organizational health, and available resources
