Through financial contributions and volunteer support, STAR assists hundreds of nonprofit organizations each year, with a focused investment strategy centered on Arts, Education, and Economic Development. Requests for donations or sponsorships are reviewed quarterly.

Eligibility & Requirements

To be considered for funding, organizations must:

  • Hold current tax-exempt status (such as a 501(c)(3))
  • Be based in Central and/or Northeast Indiana
  • Submit requests through STAR’s online application process
  • Submit requests up to 90 days prior to an event for sponsorship consideration

Contribution Committee meetings are held quarterly. Requests received after a meeting date will be reviewed at the next scheduled meeting.

Ineligible Requests

STAR Financial Bank does not fund:

  • Individuals or personal fundraising efforts
  • Political campaigns, candidates, or lobbying activities
  • Religious organizations, except for non-sectarian community services
  • General operating expenses or administrative overhead
  • Debt reduction or loan repayment

Timeline & Review

📅 Review Cycle: Quarterly contribution committee meetings
📅 Recommended Lead Time: Submit requests up to 90 days before your event
📅 Geographic Limitation: Central and Northeast Indiana only
