About the Funder
Texas Mutual is committed to strengthening communities, businesses, and working families across the state. In 2026, the company plans to award $8 million in grants to nonprofits through two community grant opportunities: the Working Texans Economic Opportunity Grant and the Texas Workforce Development Grant.

The Working Texans Economic Opportunity Grant application period is now closed. The upcoming Texas Workforce Development Grant cycle will support nonprofits helping prepare Texans for career opportunities, strengthen small businesses, and reconnect disengaged workers to supportive career pathways.

Eligibility & Preferences
Texas Mutual seeks nonprofit organizations working in Texas that are aligned with one or more of the Texas Workforce Development Grant focus areas.

Strong applicants will likely be able to demonstrate:

A clear connection to workforce development or economic opportunity
A focus on working Texans, Texas businesses, or opportunity youth
Measurable outcomes related to skills, employment, credentials, business resilience, or career pathways
Alignment with Texas Mutual’s goal of strengthening the state’s workforce and economy

Ineligible Requests
Texas Mutual has not yet published the full 2026 Texas Workforce Development Grant guide. Applicants should review the grant guide when it becomes available for complete eligibility requirements, funding restrictions, and application instructions.
