About the Program

The Washington Nationals support military and nonprofit organizations in the Greater Washington, D.C. area by providing in-kind donations for fundraising efforts.

Due to the high volume of requests received annually, organizations must carefully follow submission guidelines to be considered.


What the Nationals Provide

Approved donation requests are typically fulfilled with:

  • Autographed memorabilia
  • Game tickets (up to 4 tickets through this system)

The Nationals do not provide promotional items, equipment, or miscellaneous merchandise through this program.

If an organization seeks 5 or more tickets, they must apply separately through the Nationals’ Community Ticket Grant program.


Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible, organizations must:

  • Be based within the Greater Washington, D.C. area
  • Submit requests online only at nationals.com/donations
  • Apply at least 6 weeks prior to the event date
  • Submit complete information, including:
    • Event description and date
    • Contact name, email, and phone number
    • Complete mailing address
    • Federal Tax ID number

Incomplete or duplicate requests will not be considered.


Limitations & Restrictions

The Nationals:

  • Limit donations to one per organization per calendar year
  • Do not provide monetary donations
  • Do not purchase program ads or sponsor event signage
  • Do not buy banquet tables or sponsor golf holes
  • Do not donate to for-profit companies (including employee appreciation events)
  • Cannot intervene to secure player autographs via mail or in person

Approved requests are typically fulfilled within 30 days of the event date. Requests submitted far in advance may be held and processed closer to the event.

📅 Submission Requirement: At least 6 weeks before event
📅 Typical Fulfillment: Within 30 days of event date
📅 Annual Limit: One donation per organization

If your event is within 1–2 weeks and you have not received a response (after submitting with proper notice), you may contact the Nationals Community Relations department at communityrelations@nationals.com.
