About the Funder
Founded in 2004, West Coast Community Bank is a full-service community bank committed to strengthening the social and economic fabric of the regions it serves. The Bank actively participates in and donates to local nonprofit organizations that deliver meaningful community benefit, recognizing that a strong local economy and healthy communities are essential to shared prosperity.
Community Benefit Program Overview
West Coast Community Bank’s Community Benefit Program provides support through:
- Charitable donations
- Event and program sponsorships
- Employee volunteer involvement (when appropriate)
Requests are evaluated based on:
- The relationship to the Bank
- Overall community benefit
- Alignment with the Bank’s key funding priorities
Key Funding Priorities
Priority consideration is given to organizations and programs focused on:
- Health & Human Services
- Community Development
- Wellness and Stability, particularly initiatives benefiting low-to-moderate income individuals, seniors, and minority communities
Programs serving a broad base of residents across the Bank’s four-county footprint are strongly encouraged.
Eligibility & Important Guidelines
Eligible applicants must be:
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, public service organizations, or not-for-profit institutions
- Serving communities within the Bank’s four-county service area
Additional considerations:
- Organizations without an existing relationship with the Bank (deposit account, loan, or other) are generally not considered
- If the Bank supports a pooled-fund organization (e.g., United Way, county “Gives” programs, Rotary clubs), additional funding may not be provided to overlapping beneficiaries within the same calendar year
- Requests must include details on logo usage/visibility benefits, if applicable (artwork subject to approval)
Employee Volunteer Opportunities
West Coast Community Bank employees regularly volunteer with local nonprofits. Organizations seeking volunteer support may submit details describing their mission and volunteer needs.
