The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and Arizona Complete Health are investing in youth sports through the Diamondbacks Give Back PLAY BALL Fund. In 2026, the fund will provide $90,000 to support youth teams, leagues, and organizations across Arizona.

Arizona youth sports programs may apply for grants of up to $1,000 to help cover player equipment, player or coach training, player fee assistance, or facility upgrades. Priority is given to baseball and softball programs, though other sports may be considered.

About the Funder

The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation is the charitable arm of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Through its community programs, the Foundation supports youth development, education, health, and community initiatives across Arizona.

The Diamondbacks Give Back PLAY BALL Fund is offered in partnership with Arizona Complete Health and is designed to help expand access to youth sports, especially baseball and softball, throughout the state.

What This Program Supports

The PLAY BALL Fund supports youth sports teams, leagues, and organizations working to grow participation and reduce barriers to play.

Eligible uses include:

Player equipment
Player training
Coach training
Assistance with player fees
Facility upgrades

Priority is given to baseball and softball programs, although other sports may be considered.

Ineligible Expenses

The fund does not support:

Travel expenses
Tournament fees

Eligible Applicants

Applicants must represent one of the following in Arizona:

Registered 501(c)(3) organization
School
Municipality
League
Youth team or organization affiliated with an eligible entity

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and directly affiliated with the organization or team. If the applicant is not a coach or administrator, the team or organization contact should be notified and will be required as part of the application process.

Only one grant per organization or team will be awarded per year.

Funding Amount

Grants of up to $1,000 are available.

In 2026, the Diamondbacks Give Back PLAY BALL Fund will invest a total of $90,000 in youth sports across Arizona.

Up to 15 organizations will be selected to receive funding each month during the regular season, from April through September.
